Jeffrey D. Stone

Dr. Stone is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, with practices in Lowell, Massachusetts, and Nashua, New Hampshire. He received his BA from the University of Kansas, and his DMD and MD degrees from Harvard. His oral and maxillofacial surgery and general surgery training were completed at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He has been president of the Massachusetts Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, president of his hospital medical staff and an American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery examiner and section chairman. He has served on the Massachusetts Medical Society TaskForce on Office-based Surgery, and as trustee of his hospital for 12 years. A member of the AAOMS Committee on Coding and Nomenclature since 1994, he served as chairman of that committee from 1999– 2001, and subsequently as chairman of the Committee on Healthcare and Advocacy until 2007. He received the AAOMS Committee Person of the Year award in 2006 for his work on that committee. He has been a member of the Risk Management Committee since 2008.
