OVERVIEW
This comprehensive conference on fetal monitoring has been designed for physicians, nurses, nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who are responsible for maternal-fetal assessment. Our conference will integrate current clinical research with case studies and fetal heart tracings for content reinforcement. The conference is comprehensive and dynamic, and will include controversial issues relating to maternal-fetal assessment. The primary goal of this conference is to enhance knowledge and competency of attendees. Emphasis will be placed on practical application of the evidence-based topics presented. In addition to didactic lectures, ample time has been allotted for participant feedback and interaction.
Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on identified professional practice gaps that resulted from extensive target audience needs assessment data. The needs assessment data were derived from a variety of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants; clinical expert input; Symposia Medicus’ online survey; and other medical and nursing data.
Conference format will include didactic lectures, smaller group breakout sessions, and question and answer sessions.
An outstanding faculty has been assembled for this conference. Faculty members are committed to providing participants with current data. Each member was selected based on individual area of expertise and ability to communicate evidence-based and practical information to participants.
