Yonina Mar MD

Dr. Yonina Mar is an Addiction Medicine Fellow at the Addiction Institute at Mount Sinai West in New York. Dr. Mar is originally from Canada but has trained in several different countries. She received her medical degree from Imperial College London in London, England and completed her residency training in Family Medicine at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in a rural setting. During her residency, an interest in inner-city health led her to receive elective training in addiction and immigrant and refugee health. Following this experience, she chose to pursue further training in addiction medicine. She is very interested in the integration of substance use prevention, care and treatment into the primary care setting.
