Yejing Ge PhD

Dr. Yejing Ge is an assistant professor at the Department of Cancer Biology, MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Ge’s research applies principles of developmental biology and uses mouse genetics tools to understand molecular mechanisms underlying stem cell plasticity, and how its deregulation causes human diseases.

Dr. Ge received her bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences and Molecular Biology from Tsinghua University, China, known for its extreme selectivity in undergrad admission, and training of top-notch scholars and engineers across disciplines. She then moved to the U.S to pursue a Ph.D. and did her graduate work with Dr. Jie Chen at the Department of Cell and Development Biology, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
