Wynnis L. Tom MD

Dr. Wynnis Tom is a dermatologist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and an associate clinical professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Medicine at UC San Diego. Dr. Tom graduated from Stanford University, then earned her medical degree from UC San Diego School of Medicine. After completing her residency at Saint Louis University, she returned to San Diego to pursue a fellowship in pediatric dermatology and has since been an active faculty member in the Dermatology Division at Rady Children's.

Dr. Tom's special interests include chronic inflammatory skin disorders, particularly atopic dermatitis (eczema) and psoriasis, and managing patients with diseases that require oral or systemic medicines. She is researching how the genetic makeup of these difficult-to-treat diseases influences their development, response to treatment and associated complications such as secondary infections and cardiac health risks. Dr. Tom is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and Spanish.
