William A. Lutin is a pediatric cardiologist with 33 years of clinical experience in invasive and non-invasive, inpatient, outpatient, perioperative, and fetal cardiology. He was educated at Princeton, Vanderbilt, and the Cardiovascular Research Institute at Univ. California San Francisco. He earned a BA (biochemistry), MD, and Ph.D. (biochemistry). He has been recognized as an educator of medical students, residents, cardiology fellows, and pediatricians, and have won teaching awards. He directed the Children's Hospital of Georgia Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Training Program for 17 years and was director of the pediatric echocardiography laboratory and pediatric cardiac catheterization laboratory. Within the field of pediatric cardiology, his interests are the care of children with cardiac disease, invasive hemodynamics, echocardiography, and fetal cardiology. He has research interests in cardiac imaging, computer image processing, cardiac development, and cardiac physiology.
