22nd Annual Spring Conference on Pediatric Emergencies is organized by Symposia Medicus and will be held during Apr 11 - 14, 2018 at St Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino, Frigate Bay, St George Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis.
The target audience for this medical event is Pediatric and Emergency physicians, nurse practitioners, PAs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in the clinical care of children. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 18 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Description :
The goal of this conference is to increase the knowledge and enhance the competence of attendees. Emphasis will be placed on practical application of the evidence-based topics presented.
Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on the educational needs determined from the identified professional practice gaps. The gaps were derived from a variety of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants; clinical expert input; Symposia Medicus’ online survey; and other medical and nursing data.
Conference format will include didactic lectures, smaller group breakout and interactive sessions, case studies, and question and answer sessions.
Conference Objectives :
• Recognize and cite the difference between normal and pathologic heart murmurs in children.
• Discuss some orthopedic emergencies that can be managed without an emergency orthopedic consultation.
• Apply specific management for poisonings including acetaminophen, lead, organophosphates, iron, tricyclics, hydrocarbons, and opiates.
• Develop a comprehensive plan for the management of severe asthma.
• List common and uncommon conditions increased in children with autism.
