Wilbur Allen Rader MD, FOMA

Dr. Rader subscribes to the guidelines of the OMA in caring for patients. He has presented on obesity treatment in 30 states. His experience includes two years as a practitioner in rural Kentucky, one of seven MDs providing care in a 150-bed hospital. His practice included obstetrics, pediatrics, assisting in surgery, general inpatient, outpatient and emergency medicine. For the next 14 years, he cared for patients as an emergency department physician, serving as chairman of the department for seven years. He also served as a state representative to ACEP.

He began his obesity medicine practice in February 1997 in Kentucky before moving to Idaho in December of 1999. His goal today is to provide compassionate, understanding care combined with modern weight loss medicine. Dr. Rader specializes in the treatment of obesity and obesity-related medical and psychological conditions.
