Vincent John Hetherington DPM

Dr. Hetherington is a Professor in the Department of Surgery & Biomechanics, as well as the Senior Associate Dean for the Division of Academic Affairs. After completing his undergraduate education at St. Francis College in New York, Dr. Hetherington went on to earn his Master of Science and Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Hetherington is currently affiliated with, and serves as the Residency director for KSUCPM and University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center. He also serves as a Fellow at the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine and the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow. Dr. Hetherington is a Diplomate on the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a member of the editorial board for The Foot, an Elsevier Journal.

A renowned physician internationally as well, Dr. Hetherington serves on the International Academy of Podiatric Medical Educators for the International Federation of Podatrists (2011-present) and in 2013 as a Scientific Chairman on World Congress of Podiatry in Rome, Italy. Dr. Hetherington was a recipient of an NIH, Fogarty International Center, Senior International Fellowship and participated in the US-Austria Biomedical Exchange Program both with the Orthopedists Spital, Vienna, Austria.
