Vijaya N. R. Gottumukkala MBBS, MD, FRCA

Professor Gottumukkala has over 30 years of experience in Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine. He is currently a Professor and Deputy Chairman of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He also serves as the Medical Director for the Program for Advancement of Perioperative Cancer Care (PACE), and as an Associate Head for the Institute for Cancer Care Innovation (ICCI). Prof Gottumukkala’s main research and academic interests are Perioperative management strategies to improve postoperative and oncological outcomes, Enhanced Recovery Protocols in major cancer surgery, and developing Onco-Anesthesiology as a specialty.
