Dr. Vassiliki Papadimitrakopoulou is a Vice President of Clinical Development of Solid Tumors, Head Breast, and Women's Cancers at the BeiGene. Her research interests have concentrated in the areas of chemoprevention, development of novel molecularly targeted therapeutics, and translational research studies with a particular focus on cell cycle regulation and signal transduction in both premalignant lesions and established cancer. She has experience in conducting patient-oriented translational research and in training fellows and junior faculty in the development and conduct of such clinical trials.

Dr. Papadimitrakopoulou has been the principal investigator on over 30 Phase I and II clinical trials with novel targeted agents including cell cycle inhibitors, farnesyl transferase inhibitors, pro-drugs, tyrosine kinase inhibitors, and chemoprevention studies. She is experienced in all aspects of clinical trial research (including regulatory issues), trial development, and the translational aspects of research and has mentored young physician-scientists in the conduct of laboratory research. She has served and is currently serving as Principal Investigator or Project Leader in several NCI-sponsored grants (U01, SPORE, PO1, RO1). Dr. Papadimitrakopoulou has published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and has received awards from the American Society of Clinical Oncology Young Investigator and Career Development Awards.
