Dr. Bamba’s clinical expertise is in pediatric disorders of growth. She is the Medical Director of the Diagnostic and Research Growth Center at CHOP. She has given numerous lectures on growth, has published research on use of growth hormone in children, and has been involved in research of novel ways of treating children with growth hormone deficiency. Dr. Bamba has a special interest in Turner Syndrome and is the leader of the multidisciplinary Wellness in Growth and Spirit (WinGS) Program, a multidisciplinary clinical program specifically for girls with Turner Syndrome (TS). Dr. Bamba complements her clinical practice by involvement in research studies and advocacy groups for TS. She was appointed to the International Committee for the development of revised guidelines for care of girls and women with Turner Syndrome, published September 2017. She is also a member of the Turner Syndrome Resource Network, as well as a co-chair for the newly founded Turner Syndrome Special Interest Group of the Pediatric Endocrine Society.

In addition to growth disorders, Dr. Bamba developed expertise in lipid disorders during her training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is an attending physician in the Lipid Heart Clinic at CHOP. She participates in clinical research in this arena as well and has published review articles on this topic. Lastly, Dr. Bamba is involved in medical education of trainees at all levels. In addition to staffing the Academic Clinic for Pediatric Endocrine fellows, she has been invited to work with major medical societies to develop and update pediatric endocrine board review questions.
