Vanda Plecko MD, PhD

Vanda Plecko, MD, PhD, currently employed as consultant microbiologist and infection control doctor in NHS Highland has published over 50 articles cited in international bases and more than 100 abstracts. She was employed in CHC Zagreb from 1992-2015 and was Head of Croatian Reference center for prevention of hospital acquired infections and responsible Croatian national program for infection prevention control from 2012 -2015.

From 2015-2016 she worked as consultant microbiologist in University Hospital of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust.Her interests are infection prevention in hospitals and community, molecular microbiological typing methods and antimicrobial stewardship.
