Dr Uwom Okereke EZE is a Forensic Pathologist and Clinical Forensic Physician. He obtained his medical degree from University of Ibadan (UI) in 2000 and the postgraduate specialist Fellowship Certification in Pathology of the West African College of Physicians (WACP) in 2008 after statutory 6 years of the postgraduate Residency training program. Post-fellowship professional and academic programs in Forensic Medicine were undertaken at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine (VIFM)/Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, in addition to a Diploma in Criminology course from the European Institute of Education and Master of Science (MSc) in Legal, Criminology and Security Psychology of the University of Ibadan. He had an international posting as an Overseas Forensic Pathologist at the Department of Forensic Medicine and Science, University of Glasgow, the UK, in 2009.

He has worked as a Senior Consultant in Pathology and Forensic Medicine at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, on various forensic caseloads with special interest in Forensic Death Investigation/Disaster Victim Identification (DVI), Injury Interpretation, Sexual Violence, Pediatric Forensic Medicine, especially Child Abuse and Injuries in children, and Medicine and Law, and also lectured both undergraduate and postgraduate students of universities and resident doctors of the Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and West African College of Physicians on pathology, forensic medicine and science courses, and postgraduate Masters in forensic science of the University of Ibadan.
