Unmesh Khanvilkar BDS, MDS

Prof. Dr. Unmesh Khanvilkar is a professor at D.Y. Patil Dental College and also owns a private practice. Since his childhood, he has been a sports enthusiast and has actively represented his school in cricket. He also captained his Dental College Cricket Team for 5 years, which won the IDA Cricket Cup, an unmatched record in Dental cricketing circles. His love for the game and his skills as an administrator led him to become the Organizing secretary of tournaments under the ambit of the Mumbai Cricket Association. Prof. Dr. Unmesh Khanvilkar has also had the experience of working as a Stadium Coordinator and Accreditation In-charge with the Indian Premier League (2008, 2010, 2011). He played an active role in Media Committee that worked on the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup. In the past two years, he has also been involved in organizing seminars, workshops for the umpires, and groundsmen. He has worked closely with Dr. Vijay Patil over the past few years with regard to administrative matters of the Association and at the University as well.
