Trudi L. Matthews MA

Trudi manages all staff, programs, and operations of the Kentucky REC, a center charged with assisting health care providers, practices, and hospitals across Kentucky with using technology, connectivity, process improvement, and value-based care models to improve the quality and value of health care.

Trudi also serves as a policy advisor on the External Affairs team for UK HealthCare. In this role, she helps leadership remain informed about changing state and federal legislation, regulation, and policy related to quality, value, meaningful use of IT, and payment innovation.

Formerly, she served as Director of Policy and Business Development with the Health Collaborative, HealthBridge, and the Greater Cincinnati Health Council where she worked with one of the nation’s top regional health improvement and transformation teams.

She provided leadership and support for a wide range of technology and quality improvement initiatives including Cincinnati’s Beacon Community Program, the Tri-State Regional Extension Center, Aligning Forces for Quality, the Kentucky and Indiana State Health Information Exchange Programs, and the Nationwide Health Information Network, among other initiatives.
