Trefor Owen Morgan is an Emeritus Professor of Medicine and Physiology at The University of Melbourne Australia. His research explores how the body controls the excretion of sodium, potassium and water and how disturbances of these processes interacting with the renin angiotensin system leads to high blood pressure.

Professor Morgan is on the editorial board of, any medical journals. He has been President of the Nephrology Society of Australia and New Zealand, Secretary and CEO of The Australian Physiology Society and the High Blood Pressure Research Society of Australia. He is at present the Secretary General of the Asian Pacific Society of Hypertension, a member of the Council of ISH.
