Tracy Yu-ping WangMD, MHS, MSc, FAHA, FACC
Dr. Wang is a cardiologist and associate professor of medicine at Duke University Medical Center. She received her MD from Harvard her MSc degree in molecular biochemistry/biophysics from Yale and an MHS degree in clinical research from Duke. She completed internal medicine residency training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and came to Duke University for a cardiology fellowship.
Since joining the faculty in 2008, Wang has conducted research to optimize evidence-based treatment practices and patient outcomes across the spectrum of cardiovascular disease. She has been a leader in the development of several cardiovascular clinical trials and registries at the DCRI that have focused on comparative effectiveness and safety, health disparities, care quality assessment, and quality improvement. She has published over 150 original manuscripts on these topics. She has led performance improvement initiatives designed to elevate clinical care quality.
Wang is the director of DCRI Education and oversees a broad portfolio of traditional and innovative educational programming. Additionally, she is interested in evolving the platform for research to improve the site and patient recruitment, enrich the collection of patient-reported outcomes, and assist in the dissemination and penetration of new knowledge into practice.
