Tracey Schefter MD

Dr. Schefter is a Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Colorado Denver. She is the director of the stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) program (for lung, liver, bone, and other extracranial metastases). She helped build the liver radioembolization program and currently helps select patients most suited for this liver-directed therapy. She was the PI on numerous clinical trials including 2 national cooperative group trials that have completed accrual (RTOG cervical and ACOSOG esophageal). Her main areas of expertise are gynecologic and gastrointestinal cancers. She has served on several national committees including but not limited to RTOG gynecology, ACOSOG radiation, ASTRO endometrial cancer guidelines, and ASTRO emerging technologies. She has contributed to more than 50 publications. She is an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Oncology, the American Journal of Clinical Oncology, Radiation Oncology Investigations, Clinical and Basic Research, and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, and Physics.
