Tony Edwards MBChB, FACSP

Dr Tony Edwards, a Consultant Sports Medicine Physician. He was a Founding Partner of the Unisports Sports Medicine Clinic and FIFA Centre of Excellence, in Auckland, New Zealand. He is a Member of the FIFA Medical Committee since 2006 representing the Oceania Confederation. He has officiated as member of the FIFA Delegation to three FIFA World Cups (Germany 2006, South Africa 2010 and Brazil 2014). An experienced sports physician, he was Chief Medical Officer to the Under 17 Women’s World Cup in Auckland, 2008 and FIFA Medical Officer at numerous age group World Cup tournaments, as well as the Olympic Games (Sydney 2000,Athens 2008 and London 2012).As a member, FIFA Panel of Instructors for Football Medicine, he has contributed at various international sports medicine conferences and seminars / workshops.
