Tomas Berl MD, FASN

Dr. Tomas Berl is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park, and New York University School of Medicine completed his residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and a nephrology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, and the University of Colorado. Among other awards, Dr. Berl received the Hoechst Traveling Fellowship Award, the Kaiser Permanente Teaching Award, and the Robert Schrier Department of Medicine Excellence Award. He is past president of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), the Director of the Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension at the University of Colorado, and studies issues in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy and cardiac renal interaction.
