Todd Erin Heaton MD

Todd E. Heaton, MD is a pediatric surgeon with special training in surgical oncology and minimally invasive procedures. he dedicated to the treatment of children with cancer, and he cannot imagine a more rewarding career. While he has the experience and training to treat children with any malignancy, her primary areas of interest are renal tumors, liver tumors, neuroblastoma, sarcomas, thyroid cancers, and the management of inherited colon cancer syndromes. When necessary and appropriate, he hope to expand the use of minimally invasive surgery and surgical navigation techniques in her patients.

He is very fortunate and proud to be a part of the multidisciplinary pediatric oncology team here at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Our pediatric surgeons perform more pediatric cancer surgeries than any other center in the world. As a team we have a wealth of experience in the medical and surgical management of any pediatric malignancy, including large, complicated solid tumors in children. Her previous research involved hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. her current research concentrates on clinical and outcomes research in pediatric surgical oncology. In addition to her clinical research he collaborating with her colleagues here to develop highly targeted drugs for treatment and imaging in pediatric malignancy. He also participate in all the active surgical clinical trials and the tumor banking initiative here at MSK.
