Dr. Timothy R. Deer is an Interventional Spine and Nerve physician who practices in Charleston, West Virginia, where he has served as the President and CEO of the Spine and Nerve Center of the Virginias since its inception. His work has included achievements in organized medicine, including being the founder and Chairman of the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience, Past President of the INS, President Emeritus of the WV Society of Interventional Pain, and former Chairman of the Pain Committee of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
He has been on the Board of Directors of the AAPM, ASIPP, and NANS. In addition, he has published over 300 peer-reviewed manuscripts, edited 6 textbooks, and led several consensus guidelines. Dr. Deer has taught thousands of physicians new methods of treatment from 6 continent's, and has been involved in many first-in-human implants, and co-founded Axonics for sacral neuromodulation.
