Timothy M. Buie, M.D., is an award-winning pediatric gastroenterologist at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children based in Boston, MA, where he serves as Director of Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Lurie Center for Autism. Dr. Buie has extensive experience in treating children with autism and associated conditions, championing the issues of underlying medical conditions in autism and how they affect behaviors. He is a founder and developer of the Autism Treatment Network, now managed by Autism Speaks.

This is a multi-center program directed at evaluating medical problems in children with autism. Dr. Buie will be joining a committed team of medical professionals at the number one pediatric hospital in the country, the Pediatric Gastroenterology Department at Boston Children’s Hospital starting in April 2017. Dr. Buie continues to teach and do research as an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He provides medical education and consulting services as the Director of PediGI, LLC.
