Thomas B. Comfere, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and a consultant in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Comfere earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, Germany. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine, a residency in Anesthesiology, and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic. His advanced training provided a strong foundation in the management of critically ill patients and perioperative care for complex surgical populations.

Board-certified in both Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Comfere combines clinical excellence with a strong interest in healthcare technology and quality improvement.
