Dr. Manson received his medical degree from Northwestern University School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He pursued an additional year of advanced training in the management of complex fractures at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. He followed with an additional 1-year fellowship in total joint replacement at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, where he trained in minimally invasive joint replacement, revision joint replacement and hip and knee surgery.

Dr. Manson has two clinical practices: joint replacement and orthopaedic trauma. He is an orthopaedic trauma surgeon at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and cares for patients with complex fractures and multi-system trauma.

In addition to performing surgery at the University of Maryland Founding Campus in downtown Baltimore, Dr. Manson operates at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Towson, Maryland, primarily for patients requiring hip or knee replacement. He cares for patients from Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia who are referred for complex fractures or infections around existing hip and knee replacements and directs the Maryland Statewide Referral System for these patients.
