Dr. Teri Longacre received a B.A. from St. John’s College, a B.S. from the University of New Mexico, and an M.D. from the University of New Mexico. She trained as a resident in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of New Mexico and pursued subspecialty fellowships in hematopathology, gastrointestinal pathology and general surgical pathology at Stanford Medicine, where she is now Director of Gynecologic Pathology and Gastrointestinal Pathology. She is a Professor of Pathology at Stanford and directs the Gynecologic Pathology and Gastrointestinal Pathology Fellowship programs.

Dr. Longacre is also the Director of the Stanford Comprehensive Cancer Institute Tissue Procurement Facility. Dr. Longacre was a member of the 2013 consensus and editorial working group for the WHO Classification of Tumors of the Female Genital Tract. She is the current President of the Association of Directors of Anatomic and Surgical Pathology and the Chair of the Endometrial Cancer Biomarker Reporting Panel for the College of American Pathologists She also serves on the Test Development and Advisory Committee for Anatomic Pathology for the American Board of Pathology.
