Tazeen H. Jafar MBBS, MPH, FNKF

Dr. Tazeen Jafar is Professor of Health Services and Systems Research at Duke-National University of Singapore Graduate Medical School, Visiting Consultant Renal Medicine at Singapore General Hospital.

Dr. Jafar graduated from the Aga Khan Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan and proceeded to the US for residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston, followed by fellowship in clinical nephrology and extensive training in clinical research at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, and obtained an MPH from Harvard. She then returned to the Aga Khan University where she served for ten years before joining Duke-NUS.

Dr. Jafar has also been adjunct faculty at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, and Imperial College London; she is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a sub-specialty in Nephrology.

Dr. Jafar has led many collaborative projects including the individual patient data meta-analysis of 11 internationally conducted randomized controlled trials on Angiotensin Converting Enzyme inhibitors on progression of non-diabetic kidney disease.
