Dr. De Langhe is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Following his training at Ghent University and the USC Keck School of Medicine , he has held faculty positions at National Jewish Health's Department of Pediatrics and the University of Colorado's Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. De Langhe's research focuses on lung development, lung regeneration and lung stem cells. He is especially interested in how Wnt and FGF signaling pathways between stem cells and their niche control the differentiation, proliferation and maintenance of several mesenchymally and epithelial cell lineages.
