Steven Craig Carleton MD, PhD

Dr. Steven C. Carleton MD, Ph.D. is a Professor and W. Brian Gibler Chair of Emergency Medicine Education at the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Cincinnati. He served as a Flight Physician for 15 years and Medical Director of University Air Care for 13 years and is a current faculty member in the Difficult Airway Course, Emergency. Dr. Carleton contributes chapters on wilderness navigation and wilderness communication to Auerbach's Wilderness Medicine text. He is a self-taught navigator and practices both field-expedient and formal celestial navigation in the wilderness near his home in Wyoming, Ohio.
