Stephen R. Thom MD, PhD

Dr. Thom is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland. He is board-certified in emergency medicine and Undersea & hyperbaric medicine. Dr. Thom’s training includes a Ph.D. in microbial physiology. His research awards have been focused on biochemical and physiological responses to oxidative stress with a particular focus on the impact of high-pressure gases.
