Sonata Jodele MD

Dr. Sonata Jodele, MD, is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and a member of the Division of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Immune Deficiency at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. An internationally recognized pediatric hematologist-oncologist and physician-scientist, she is a global leader in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of transplant-associated thrombotic microangiopathy (TA-TMA), with a career dedicated to improving outcomes for children undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

Dr. Jodele earned her Doctor of Medicine from Vilnius University School of Medicine in Lithuania. She completed her pediatric residency at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. She is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and has devoted her career to advancing specialized care for children with complex transplant-related complications.
