Overview:
The Pediatric APP Stem Cell Transplant Symposium (PASCTS) is a biannual educational program curated for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), which focuses on evidenced based medicine in stem cell transplant (SCT) and topics supporting the care of pediatric SCT patients.
PASCTS evolved from the "Pediatric BMT Bootcamp", an internal MSK lectures series which was developed to onboard a new cohort of APPs to the SCT service and included introductory HSCT topics. The bootcamp was successful largely in part to everyone’s dedication to educate APPs. It is our vision to continue ongoing education dedicated to APPs and make this available to APPs around the world through PASCTS.
The inaugural PASCTS will be held on February 25-26, 2021 with the second symposium of 2021 taking place in October.
Objectives:
• Increase knowledge in HSCT and pediatric oncology topics
• Deepen understanding of advanced topics in cellular therapies
• Acquire new skills to apply learnings to practice
• Improve care of pediatric HSCT patients
• Provide additional source of ongoing education for Advanced practice providers
