Simon S.w. Nienhuijs PhD

Dr. Simon Nienhuijs is a general surgeon at the Catharina Hospital Eindhoven, the Netherlands, with a focus on weight loss procedures. He is privileged to work in an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team that treats around a thousand patients each year. The special features are the eHealth platform and research with telemonitoring for these bariatric patients. He led the working group that composed the new QoL questionnaire OBESI-Q, is a member of the Dutch Society of Metabolic Bariatric Surgery board, and is the chairman of the Dutch Audit for Treatment of Obesity quality registry. Furthermore, he performs HIPEC and abdominal wall surgery. Lastly, he really likes chaotic heavy metal music.
