Silvia Sacalis PharmD

Silvia Sacalis, BS, PharmD, provides clinical leadership as Vice President of Clinical Services at Healthesystems. Her extensive experience spans the PBM, retail pharmacy and managed care environments.

Leveraging her technology background, clinical skills and management expertise, she helps develop and ope rationalize strategic clinical initiatives to help workers’ compensation insurance payers maximize the impact of a pharmacy benefit management program. Throughout her career, she has held various leadership roles and has a demonstrated track record of strategic development and execution of initiatives that reduced pharmacy spending and drove improved patient outcomes.

A recognized thought leader and innovator, Dr. Sacalis stays abreast of emerging trends and new drug therapies. She provides guidance on expected financial and therapeutic impacts of drug therapies on workers’ compensation claims populations and is instrumental in identifying new strategies to address them. Dr. Sacalis’ expertise in utilizing healthcare analytics to drive improved outcomes has made her a welcome speaker on national programs sponsored by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems and others. Dr. Sacalis received her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Doctorate of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
