Siddappa Byrareddy PhD

Dr. Siddappa Byrareddy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Neurosciences, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha. Dr. Byrareddy completed his postdoctoral training at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School and focused in the field of virology, immunology, and neuroscience.

Dr. Byrareddy has a strong background in molecular retrovirology, lentiviral evolution, and mucosal virus transmission in primate models with over 12 years of research experience, over 85 peer-reviewed publications in the field and contributed to HIV mucosal transmission and therapeutic approaches to cure HIV. Dr. Byrareddy has mentored several graduate student trainees and postdoctoral fellows and his research are supported by several National Institute of Health-funded grants.
