Shirley M. Taylor, MN, ARNP, ANP-BC, CWCN-AP, is a board-certified advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP) at the Center for Reconstructive Surgery at UW Medical Center – Montlake. She is a teaching associate with the UW School of Medicine, board-certified in wound care as an advanced practice nurse, and a faculty member of the UW School of Nursing Continuing Nursing Education Wound Management Education Program.

Shirley provides care to patients in the clinic before and after surgery. She performs tissue expansions and other clinic procedures. She has experience with plastic reconstructive surgery, skin grafts, flaps, and extensive training in specialized wound care. Shirley believes it is important to get to know her patients throughout their reconstructive process to better support their care needs. She feels that understanding her patients’ stories is key to providing them with comprehensive and personalized care. She is thrilled to be part of an amazing team that helps patients restore function, form, and self-image to bodies that have been impacted by disease or trauma. It is her patients - their strength, their stamina, their courage - that ignites her passion and dedication to the profession.
