Dr. Madani is a “Quadruple Gator!” She earned both her undergraduate degree and her medical degree from the University of Florida. She then completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine (UFCOM) before joining the faculty in 2005.

Dr. Madani’s professional interests include medical education as well as general obstetrics and gynecology. She previously served as the Chief of the Division of Gynecology, and currently is the Vice-Chair for Education in the Department of OBGYN. Dr. Madani’s clinical practice includes general and high-risk obstetrics and medical and surgical gynecology. Her areas of interest include gynecologic care of women with breast cancer, abnormal uterine bleeding, postmenopausal bleeding, management of abnormal Pap tests, menopause medicine, minimally invasive surgery, and general obstetrics. She is piloting a program at UF screening women for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndromes.

In addition to providing clinical services, Dr. Madani specializes in medical education and has been recognized as a national leader in this field. She considers the opportunity to teach and mentor residents and medical students to be one of the most rewarding aspects of her job. She previously served as the Clerkship Director for third-year medical students for 15 years, and currently serves as the Associate Chair of Medical School Admissions. In addition, in 2021 she was appointed as the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at UFCOM. She has authored and edited several exam preparation books that are widely used by medical students across the country.
