Dr. Misser has been a partner at a private radiology practice in Durban since 2006. He has a commendable undergraduate and post-graduate academic record. In 1998, Dr. Misser graduated MBChB at the Nelson Mandela School of Medicine, UKZN, with a summa cum laude pass. In 2005, he was awarded the Josse Kaye Medal for CMSA - Radiology Part 2 examinations. He has completed the European Diploma in Neuroradiology in 2014. In 2015, Dr. Misser was the first person from Africa to complete the European Diploma in Paediatric Neuroradiology.

Dr. Misser graduated with a Master of Medical Science (MMed Sc) degree at the UKZN in 2017. He has 50 published articles and has been a Sub-editor of the SAJR. Dr. Misser has been involved as an examiner in the CMSA Radiology Part 2 examinations and external examiner for Master of Medicine(MMed) Studies at multiple universities. He was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society in 2017. Presently undertaking research into cerebral palsy and the radiological imaging thereof in South Africa towards a PhD in radiology under supervision of Prof J Barkovich.
