Dr. Seong H. Cho is a physician–scientist and Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. He specializes in allergy, immunology, and airway diseases, with a strong focus on understanding the mechanisms underlying asthma and chronic inflammatory conditions of the respiratory system.

Dr. Cho earned his medical degree from Kyung Hee University in 1989. His research primarily investigates the molecular and immunologic mechanisms involved in asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis, including the role of plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) in airway inflammation and tissue remodeling. His work also explores age-related immune changes and their impact on chronic sinus and airway diseases.

Through translational and clinical research, Dr. Cho aims to identify new therapeutic targets and improve treatments for patients suffering from severe asthma, nasal polyps, and other allergic or inflammatory airway conditions. His research findings have been published widely in leading journals in the fields of allergy, immunology, and respiratory medicine.
