Sean Robinson Smith MD

Dr. Sean Smith is the Medical Director of Michigan Medicine's Cancer Rehabilitation program, with a clinical emphasis on restoring function and reducing symptom burden in patients with a history of cancer. In addition to chairing the AAPM&R's Cancer Rehabilitation Physician Consortium and the multi-site research collaborative, the Cancer Rehabilitation Metrics Consortium, he serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Oncology and is a Deputy Associate Editor for Supportive Care in Cancer. He has published numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts and has conducted educational seminars on cancer rehabilitation on three continents.

He received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He is a board-certified specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
