Sarah Mottram joined Kinetic Control in 1995 as a founding director and has continued to develop her clinical and research interests in uncontrolled movement. In 1996 she completed a Master of Science in Physiotherapy at University College London.Sarah has lectured for Kinetic Control for 17 years both nationally and internationally particularly in Europe, Canada and South Africa. She lecturers on the Kinetic Control Masters programme at Keele University.

She has a particular interest in the assessment and retraining of scapula uncontrolled movement and how this influences neck and shoulder pain and function. With Mark Comerford she has developed The Performance Matrix - a unique movement screening and assessment tool that can help to manage movement control in relation to performance and risk of injury and re-injury. Sarah is also a certified Pilates Matwork instructor with the Pilates Foundation UK and a certified GYROTONIC® Trainer. She has a clinical practice, The Movement Works, in Chichester, UK, and is particularly interested in the integration of Pilates and other movement therapies into retraining of uncontrolled movement.
