Sarah A. Bannon MS, CGC

Sarah A. Bannon specialize in hereditary predispositions to gastrointestinal cancers as well as hematologic malignancies including acute and chronic leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, and lymphoma. She has done projects related to patient knowledge and attitudes regarding genetic testing, preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), as well as retrospective studies evaluating the performance of our clinic and impacts of genetic counseling within our institution. She is specifically interested in genetic counseling issues surrounding attitudes towards genetic testing, especially in understudied populations such as leukemia patients. She is additionally interested in further characterizing hereditary syndromes related to hematologic malignancies.
