Samir H. Patel MD

Dr. Samir H. Patel is Professor and Vice Chair of Radiation Oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. He also chairs the Mayo Clinic enterprise Radiation Oncology Head and Neck Disease site group. His clinical and research interests include mitigating the toxicities of radiation therapy which consists of the application of proton beam therapy for the use of complex cutaneous and head and neck malignancies.

He also works on investigating applications of artificial intelligence in radiation oncology. He has completed multiple prospective investigator-initiated clinical trials and his work has been published in esteemed journals such as Lancet Oncology.
