Dr. Saad Al-Muhayawi graduated at King Abdulaziz University College of Medicine year 1981. He acquired the certificate of Royal College of Surgeon Canada in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgeon in 1988 and FRCSC in 1989. He completed a clinical fellowship in head and neck, the University of Toronto in 1990.
Dr. Saad Muhyawi appointed as an assistant professor in 1990 and then promoted to associate professor in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 2006. He becomes the chairman of the ENT department of King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Jeddah in 2005 – 2009. He is also the chairman of a residency training program for the Saudi Board in ENT from 2004 to the present.
Dr. Muhayawi is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and American Society of Head & Neck Oncology as well as the Saudi Otolaryngological Society. He worked in an International Medical Centers in Canada as well as in Saudi Arabia including a tertiary care hospital as Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, King Faisal Specialist Hospital in and King Khalid National Guard Hospital both in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
