Roy Sheinbaum MD

Dr. Roy Sheinbaum received his medical degree at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. He completed a residency in anesthesia at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and was a cardiothoracic and vascular fellow at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Board certified in anesthesia, Dr. Sheinbaum is professor and director of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School and director of the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Fellowship Program at UTHealth.

His specialty is cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesia and his clinical interests include cardiac protection, renal protection and coagulation. The recipient of prestigious teaching awards, Dr. Sheinbaum has authored or co-authored numerous scientific articles and has been a visiting professor in Singapore, China, and Israel.
