Dr. Cotrina Pereyra is a Specialist in Internal Medicine and Clinical Pathology, Master in Medicine (UPCH), and Doctor in Health Sciences (UNMSM). She is an associate professor of the UNMSM and Head of the Department of Healthcare Services 2003-2006 and founder of the Thrombosis, Haemostasis and Endothelium Unit of the National Heart Institute 2000. President of the Venous Thromboembolism Prevention Committee of the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen-1999 Hospital. Founder of the Peruvian Association of Thrombosis and Hemostasis 2011. Founder of the Hemotherapy Society. Member of the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis, of the CLAHT Group and of SOLAMI, honorary member of the societies of Internal Medicine: Peruvian, Buenos Aires, Colombian, Bolivian, Cruceña, and Ecuadorian. Member of the Peruvian Society of Cardiology, Hypertension, and Clinical Pathology.

She is a Lecturer in multiple national and international academic events in Peru and abroad, organizer of the VI SOLAMI Congress, and multiple international and national events in Internal Medicine and in Thrombosis and hemostasis has published various articles and chapters in four books, principal investigator of more than 12 international studies.
