Robert K. Zurawin MD

Dr. Zurawin is President and Chief Executive Officer of Robert K Zurawin and Associates, Ltd., an international advisory firm he founded in 2018 after over 40 years practicing obstetrics and gynecology. He is particularly renowned for his expertise in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery with particular focus on uterine fibroids, endometriosis and alternative procedures to hysterectomy.

Dr. Zurawin has served as an Associate Professor in the division of Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he received his medical degree with honors in 1977. He completed his residency at Baylor in 1982 and held successively higher positions during his career there, rising to the post of Chief of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. Among his many accomplishments during his tenure at Baylor, he created fellowships in Minimally Invasive Surgery and in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. He received two of the highest teaching honors at Baylor, the Fulbright and Jaworski Awards.

In addition to his academic and clinical pursuits, Dr. Zurawin has served as a consultant and medical director for numerous medical device companies and start ups. His knowledge, experience and technical background has enabled not only the development and improvement of many surgical devices, but also led to his being sought after for training residents and practicing surgeons in advanced endoscopic surgery. In addition to training physicians, he also trains industry sales forces in the use, safety, and proper technique of surgical devices.

Dr. Zurawin is a member of many national and international professional and scientific organizations, and served as President of several of them. He has lectured and performed surgery all over the world and worked with the US Department of State and the US Aid to International Development bringing advanced gynecologic techniques to developing countries.
