Robert J. Rushakoff MD, MS

Dr. Robert Rushakoff is medical director of the UCSF Diabetes Center at Mount Zion. He also is medical director for Inpatient Diabetes, or the care of hospitalized diabetic patients, at UCSF Medical Center. He earned a medical degree and master's degree in pharmacology at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed a residency in internal medicine at UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion. He completed an endocrinology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

In addition to caring for patients, Rushakoff is a member of the Diabetes and Endocrinology Research Lab at Mount Zion where he studies the use of the Internet to train doctors and patients in diabetes management. His research has been published in medical journals. He is a professor of medicine at UCSF.
