Robert J. Lewandowski, M.D., FSIR, is a professor in radiology, medicine, and surgery and director of interventional oncology at the Northwestern University Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Lewandowski joined the staff at Northwestern in 2006 upon completion of his fellowship training. Dr. Lewandowski completed his fellowship in 2006 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and his radiology residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan in 2005. He received his medical degree from Michigan State University in 1999.

Dr. Lewandowski is board-certified in diagnostic radiology with a certificate of additional qualification in vascular and interventional radiology. His primary interest is using loco-regional therapies to treat primary and secondary hepatic malignancies; he is involved with both pre-clinical and clinical studies in the field of interventional oncology. He has authored or co-authored numerous articles for peer-reviewed journals on topics such as chemoembolization and radioembolization to treat liver cancer.
